My Family:
I am married and have a daughter and a son. Both are in college. My
grandson is a very lively three years old.
Ancient History:
I grew up in Port Arthur, Texas. Graduating
before me was one of Port Arthur's claim to fame, Janis Joplin. We bear no
resemblance, other than bad hair on some days.
Education:
Following high school I attended Lamar University
in Beaumont, Texas. After a year there I met and married my current (and
only) husband. We moved to California for three months while he worked on a
National Science Foundation Grant. When the study was completed we moved to the
Galveston area where he worked for the Government, and I completed my Elementary
Education degree at the University of Houston in Clear Lake.
I have worked at Christian schools teaching language arts, math, science, and computer to fifth through ninth grade students.
Currently, I am certified to teach in Oklahoma and Texas with special endorsements in the fields of Elementary Education, Language Arts Middle School, Math Middle School, Science Middle School, Social Studies in Middle School, and Kindergarten.
